About

Reuben Shaul is a self-taught photographer based in Morzine in the French Alps, where the landscape and rhythms of mountain life have profoundly influenced his artistic practice. His multicultural upbringing and experiences across diverse environments inform his unique approach to photography.

Reuben’s journey into photography began after studying mechanical engineering, embracing the medium as a way to explore the contrasts that have shaped his life. His ongoing project, “Intersaisons,” captures the transitions in the Alpine landscape, reflecting on themes of balance, harmony, and the coexistence of opposites. Through his fine art photography, Reuben uses the landscape as a visual meditation on life’s deeper contrasts, provoking reflection on the interconnectedness of all things.

His work, marked by its contemplative nature, invites viewers to pause and consider the interplay of extremes in both nature and human experience.
